Heavy Equipment Mechanic Lead will report to the Heavy Equipment Shop Manager and plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery used in government, military, law
enforcement, and other industries, while also providing leadership and guidance to a team of mechanics.
Here are some key responsibilities and duties typically associated with this role:
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
1. Supervise Mechanics: Lead, supervise and mentor a team of mechanics, ensuring they follow proper procedures and safety protocols.
2. Diagnose and Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment.
3. Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment is serviced regularly.
4. Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
5. Training and Development: Train and mentor mechanics, helping them improve their skills and knowledge.

Mechanic Responsibilities:
