POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Electrician, Maintenance applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
1. Performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment
2. Taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
3. Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
4. Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes as necessary.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required is certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years related work experience.
Experience: Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
Required: Must be familiar with governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions as they relate to electronics maintenance and repair.
Preferable: Military technical training/formal apprenticeship/trade school desired.
Licensing: Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license throughout employment. Class A or B CDL is preferred for the operation of all vehicles that meet the state licensing requirements.
Clearance: Background check and drug screening will be administered. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and be eligible for issue and possession of a Common Access Card (CAC) prior to employment.
